Our Showroom

We are housed in the former home of a beloved surplus electronics store that served generations of inventors, tradesmen and tinkerers in the Los Angeles area.

City records trace the construction of the showroom to 1949, joined by a bowstring-truss warehouse at the rear of the building in 1952 and finished with the construction of the "SURPLUS" neon sign – now a designated historical resource – in 1956.

We've carefully restored both the building and its iconic neon sign to their original condition. After sitting dark for decades, we're thrilled to relight the sign and open our doors to support the region's transition to renewable energy.
